Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast

Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast is situated in a peaceful, rural garden setting that enjoys spectacular views of the Rock and Pillar Range. We are in close proximity to the start/finish of the Otago Central Rail Trail at Middlemarch, Otago. We offer you very comfortable, relaxing and private accommodation for up to six people in the Cottage Studio and Rose Bedroom.

All rooms are spacious and well-equipped. We provide a warm welcome including complimentary tasty treats and use of sports equipment such as tennis racquets and balls, petanque, golf clubs and mountain bikes.

Cottage Studio

Our cottage studio contains two queen rooms. For your comfort, each room has electric blankets, heating, comfortable pillows and doors opening out on to a veranda with outdoor seating.

The shared bathroom has a shower with gas heated water, tiled floor with underfloor heating, hair dryer and heated towel rail.

Additional facilities include: a fridge with chilled rainwater, tea and coffee making facilities, a selection of books and magazines from our library, indoor board games and cards, television, outdoor seating and barbecue.

Tariff: $130 per night/couple. Single: Single $70.00 per night. Includes continental breakfast.

Rose Bedroom

Our cottage queen Rose Bedroom is in the main house and has a private veranda access and its own separate bathroom with gas heated hot water.

Tariff: $120.00 per night /couple. Single: $70.00 per night.

Continental breakfast is served in our cottage dining room at a time to suit you and consists of fresh fruit salad, yogurts, a range of cereals and herbal teas, coffee, home made spreads and toast.

Using our rail trail planner services we can also liaise with you to co-operatively plan, organise and provide a Rail Trail package that best suits your needs. Our services include transfers from or to Dunedin Airport and the Taieri Gorge Train at Pukerangi.
